Hi Can anybody tell me what these 2 error codes are

P1684,P1687

would really appreciate any help with this.

Sorry forgot to add I've got a 1.6 16v 02 plate 5 dorr Stilo

P1684 Metering Oil Pump Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
P1687 Metering Oil Pump Stepping Motor Circuit Malfunction

I think P1684 and P1687 are throttle body fault codes
Are you having problems Charlieboy?
Bad idle? Losing gas pedal response?

Hello,

P 1684 is a fault during self learning of throttled body (low battery or plausibility)

P 1687 is an interruption of throttled body self learning for incorrect
environmental parameters (plausibility)

these are the official Fiat technical fault descriptions.

so it seems you have a problem with your throttle body.

Sounds as if he needs the ECU and throttle body updates or if he's lucky just the ecu butterfly flap cleaned :chin:

I'll check to see if the error codes match mine but my issue is with idle everytime I come to a halt and appears to be something to do with the ECU to Throttle Body config? FIAT Dealer has had to car - performed resets but theres one more to try which is the Throttle Body reset on Tuesday - Will let you know.........
