Re: Stilo Radio Codes - Instantly Online for £5!

might b the way uv wired it up. the unit may think the engines off because theres a wire missing not conected. i think i remember seeing a link on 1 of the threads in here by Lars that goes to a german site that tells you how to do it. just a damm shame its in german.

try that

entering radio code!

well as the titles say...

ive got my radio code its the actual entering of the code into the unit...

its easy enough to put the code in, but what i dont quite understand is how "confirm the required digits" as the manual says as the last step its says:

To confirm the required digits press 4 (5 RPT)

although if you press the 4th button, it changes the forth number in the code?

im sure its something silly ive been doing if someone could confirm? How they got there code excepted!

Thanks!

Re: entering radio code!

Can guarantee this'll work, button 5 (with RPT written on it) is the accept code button. The stilo book confuses things by referring to it as button 4, annoyingly.

Hi, Hope someone can help me here, I bought a stilo with a radio cassette fitted in the car in October, however I upgraded to a cd mp3 player so removed the orginal one and sold it, it came with a sticker with the registartion details on, but only trouble is they seem to be the wrong details for the radio, the buyer has contacted me saying the supplied code will not work, can anyone tell me where I can find the code to this radio, I don't mind paying if I need to, here are the radio details.

serial number- m123660
visteon part number- 2fcf18c838ka
fiat part number- 735374217
model- oa
also printed on the lable are- 92 540/c550 & 10 r -02 0403

Regards Keith

No radio code and thinking of getting CD changer

Please can you help
I have just bought a 53 Stilo 1.9 JTD Mutiwagon

1 It has no keycode.
What problems will this cause and can I obtain a new one?

2 It has no code for the Radio Cassette.
What problems will this cause and can I obtain a new one?

I am thinking of getting a cd changer.

3 Is it as simple as getting the changer for the glove compt and a lead to
connect it to the main unit (remember it is only a cassette unit I have)?

4 Is the best option to go the Fiat dealership or is it worthwhile
(a lot cheaper) to go it alone?

1. no keycode won't cause any problems, no Stilos have them new you have to order them from FIAT for between £3-£15 depending on how friendly you are with your dealer ;)when you get it FIAT can turn on hazard lights to flash when locking/unlocking through examiner and maybe some other fancy tricks but don't know what they are.

2. if you don't have the code then the unit cannot be replaced into another car without the code, but on your car the code is stored onto the ECU so if you disconnect the battery it wont ask you for the code, this was the case in my Punto anyway so I'm assuming it's the same on the Stilo, if you need a code for it then some celver people on here can help (y) I can't remember where you get it from

3. if you want the 5cd changer (Blaupunkt IDC-A09) in the upper glovebox you need to buy the changer, glovebox liner and lead if you car doesn't have it.

4. cheaper to do yourself, isn't a hard job.

Cheers (y)

Radio Key Code

Hello, I have just purchased a 2nd hand Stilo 1.6 multiwagon and radio is locked.

I have a stiker which say's Key Code and a 4 digit number which I assume is the correct code!!!!

However, I cant get it unlocked! Have followed the instructions in the manual but no joy!

Could it be the that last owner changed the code?

Any advice is more than wecome!

Re: Radio Key Code

Hi mate get the serial number off the radio should start with M will check the code for you.

Re: Radio Key Code

code should be 2730 if it dont work then it prob a dud, treat yourself to a new one they are a few on ebay at the moment.

Re: Radio Key Code

Yeah, for example:

2 (press 5)
7 (press 5)
3 (press 5)
0 (press 5)

Press 5 again to confirm?

Re: Radio Key Code

nope mate do it like this

press button 1, 2 times until it displays 2
then press button 2, 7 times until it displays 7 and so on only at the end press button 5 atleast thats how you do mine.

Re: radio code

If i put my original visteon back into the stilo will it require a code or does it automatically work seeing as its the one that came with the car?
