I got a new stilo 5 door dynamic in sept 2003, when I got the car on opening the near side front door the puddle and interior lights would not work, three attempts have been made by the dealer to correct the problem but as yet no success. Can anybody help.

I never even got puddle lights! [V] Not that it matters, if i'm going to park next to a puddle i don't need to see if before i step in it! :p

2003 3 Door Stilo 1.2 Active, Sassy Grey, 5 disc CD Changer, plastic wheel trims - and 41.7mpg average so far. Love it, Oh yes!

puddle lights? what are they? The red/white lights on the door? If puddle lights are those ... they can be preety usefull in rainy countries.

Puddle lights were taken off the spec shortly after being introduced, something to do with too much strain on the electrical systems, so you'll still have the light fittings but they don't put the bulbs in and if you think that putting in bulbs will solve the problem, think again, they've not been wired up!

Hope this answers your question.

However, I also got a Stilo (Dynamic), which was delivered on the 25th September 2003 and it was equipped with nice and functioning puddle lights. Are you sure that specifications changed then? Of course there is always a possibility that the specifications are different for different countries, but to me all these things about strains of the electrical system, sound like cheap excuses. If it works in Switzerland should work everywhere... It's a just a little light bulb after all :)

My Oct 03 has the lights too. All these excuses are just a smokescreen for misbuilds.

What is a 53 plated car??? [:0] I guess that this sounds a stupid question to you... Is it related with your number plates?

53 is the current identifier for the 6 month registration period in the UK. The next one is 04 and after that it is 54. Another wonderful invention from the UK DVLA.

UK mainland only. Over here we have a different system. My car is UCZ xxxx, the letters signify the year and area of registration.

Les, you see loads of them over here, people buy them on the cheap to hide the age of their car;)

I have a 04 1.6 stilo and it still has the puddle lights so i don't think they stoped production!!!

Great Crystal Green 1.6 16V dynamic,skywindow,leather,climate control :p

Ya i think it does i'm not too sure i'll have to check later :D
but i know FIAT is stoping production on a few of the dynamics this year!! the 1.2 i think (so i was told)

They are stopping (or should I say have stopped) the 1.2, but I don't think it was ever available in Dynamic trim:)

Lovely Sprint Blue Stilo - And no money to mod it!
