Ok fairly new to all this, The other half had a smash a while back. Car went into the garage for reapirs, mainly body work, but also included air bag light, and non working air con since the smash. Phoned them they said the car was ready for collection and all was fixed. Went to collect the car, guy come in and asked how the car was running before, as now it has gone into limp home mode and is running like a dog(but the aircon is still working). Any how they got auto electrician out who said the ECU needed a software up date fair doo's, he updated the software car fixed no sensor's faults running fine, however the aircon has stopped working again. When you hit the aircon button you can he I think the pump kick in, but stay's warm enough to defrost the window on a winters day, even with the dial all the way round to the blue. The garage said the guy who fixed the aircon change a fuse. Got the car back now as am fed up with waiting for them to break my car again. Sorry to rattle on. Anyone got any Ideas:bang:

Can you be a bit more specific. A smash in the back can affect anything and everything

The electrician changed a fuse. Why? What fuse? Fuses blow for a reason

Was your aircon actually working after the repairs were done? If you put your hand in front of the vents and still have to think "Hmm is it working? " then it isn't working:)

Is the compressor clutch engaging when you select aircon? (i.e. is centre portion of pulley rotating, do you hear the "clack" of the clutch engage?)

If you took it in specifically to have the air con fixed and it isn't then why not take it back and get them to do the job properly? After all, you've paid for it to be done. Don't take any nonsense

Good stuff. That's the way to go. Look up "air con pipe" in the search and then, if you have that, you'll know what it entails. Probably just a top up needed and you'll be on your way- cool as ice:)

My Aircon didnt work post bump... pointed it our to insurers and repairer but repairer reckons as it was a side impact and not a frontal it wont get sorted as part of the repair :bang: Aircon on courtesy Corsa works...
