Is it hard to replace the bulbs that illuminate the heater controls on a 1.4. All mine have died.

I think you require T5 otherwise known as 286 bulbs. From memory It is quite easy to get in to the heater controls area. I seem to remember taking out the ashtray first and maybe a trim piece. Then just a few screws. When I am next in the car in daylight I will have look -- hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along before that.

I think the panel is held in by clips at the bottom and screws at the top, behind the radio panel. You need to pull out the radio and then unscrew the screws, so the panel becomes loose. There might be screws underneath too (where the ash-tray or optional blanking piece is).

Mine is the same (the last good bulb died in the summer) so if I'm wrong, it'll be interesting to learn different so that I can do mine too..

Really easy to do, they are 12v 1.2w 286 bulbs.
