Got code 202 come up which keeps turning the engine warning light on.
says its injector 2 open circuit. I have changed the injector on 2 which i assume is counted 1-4 starting on the left if your looking into the engine bay from in front of the car and this has had no effect, the fault still happens on hard acceleration where the engine miss fires and then the light comes on. back off and the car still runs fine with the light on. Try and drive hard and it doesnt like it so would suggest still an injector problem. Any ideas please?. Is there a common bit of wiring that throws up problems may be getting too hot by the injectors?

It's never a good idea to change components because of a fault code.

P0202 = Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder 2

Test the connectors and wiring between the number 2 injector and the engine management ECU.

A fairly common fault is the contacts in the injector connector (loom side) wearing or loosing their tension causing interittent operation. If nothing else I would have swapped the middle two injectors to see if the fault moved.

Yeah probably should have swapped 2 and 3 first but it's a fair bit of work getting in there so thought I would try the simple fix first, Lessen learnt. As it happened injector 1 connector fell off so I definatly had to swap that one and thought ok that's probably not going to help the situation so was sure I had nailed it. Have to take it all apart again now and do some testing.
