Hi Guys...
as per one of my posts I had ASR/ESP light coming on all the time. Cured the problem with new Battery and cleaning the contacts. Everything works fine now.
However at the time of the problem I had the ECU read for errors and there were 2 error codes in the memory which couldn't be deleted. At the weekend my mate was round and read the ECU again to see if the messages were gone, 1 of them is but one is still there and can't be deleted

The Code is C1101......so my question anyone know what this code refers to ??? I've looked in eLearn and can't find it listed.

Everything seems to be working fine with the car so it's just got me puzzled especiially as it can't be deleted.

The car is a 1.8 16V.

Maybe someone knows what this code is.

Ok got this one sorted....the code means "Communication error ABS/ESP to ECU". Funny thing though no failure light on dash
Pressuming it was a leftover from my earlier problem, took the wiring connectors of again, put them back on made sure they were tight and hey presto error gone.

Oh and it couldn't be deleted manually because it is one of the permanant error codes written to memory that the system will delete when problem is cured. Got the info's to this from a guy here in Germany.
