Hi all 2004 Fiat Stilo the well known message comes up preheat fault. I have tested the glow plugs via the relay with my multimeter on the ohms setting and these where the readings i got back. (Red wire cylinder 1 001) (Green wire cylinder 2 001) (Black wire cylinder 3 1) (Yellow wire cylinder 4 001)

What do the readings mean here any help would be great thanks

Easiest thing to check the glow plugs is with a set of jump leads.

Whip the glow plug out - they remove in the same way a spark plug does; just mind that it isn't seized just in case.

Whip it out.

Put the negative terminal of the jump leads around the body of the glow plug; connect the positive to the very top of the glow plug (that the car's electrical connector clips to).

Then, wait to see if the plug glows up red hot at the end.

If one or more of them seem a bit slow to glow up or don't glow up at all - you know you've got a dead plug to replace.
