Just arrived back from a visit to the west country for the weekend with faultless performance from the JTD as usual. Before the return journey I did something that most Stilo drivers will rarely see (since you rarely see another one). I put the sidelights on and stepped out to have a look. Wow! Doesn’t the double light configuration just look superb from either the back or front on these motors?
With a light drizzle in the air I thought “time to put lights under manual control and show them off to good effect” and also transfer wiper control to Stilo’s onboard computer. Now the following 120 mile journey included every variance of weather from the lightest drizzle to a full blown cloudburst, all repeated several times, and yet not once did I need to override the system. Simply Amazing!
Has anyone else noticed the effect of the Stilo transferring power to its primary photon generating systems (Stilo owners aren’t mad - it’s just the effect of sitting in the cockpit - I mean drivers seat - and seeing the vast array of lights lit for a long time )? On a longish journey repeated with lights OFF and then ON the difference in fuel consumption seems quite discernable to me.
