i need to get hold of a 1.6 gearbox for a stilo can anyone give me info as too what other cars have the same gearboxes etc or even where i might find one thnx very much

What on earth happened to your gearbox? I don't think there's many that will have needed to replace their Stilo gearbox out of warranty so may not be able to help.

Gearbox reconditoners could be an avenue to follow so you get your existing box returned

Welcome to the forum... I agree with deckchair5... you're going to have a heck of a time finding a gearbox. Rather have the current one fixed (if possible).

If you want to avoid main dealer prices (who doesn't!),I would try a salvage dealer - whole cars that are accident damaged come up on ebay quite regulary
