I fancy getting some number plate surrounds for my 3dr Stilo.

not sure If I fancy chrome ones, think they may be a bit chav!!! what do you think!
I only seem to be able to find chrome, blue, red, gold and fake carbonfibre ones on the net.

I was really looking for some black plastic ones (to match the stilo trim) like they seem to have on vehicles abroad, but can't find any. theres a really smart yellow bodykitted Stilo on here (the airplane one I think) from a greek member (i think) can't remember user name, anyway there are some black plastic ones on their car and they really do look smart (IMHO)

Anyway has anyome put numberplate surrounds on their car, what do you think of them and does anyone know where I can find some black plastic ones??

Thanks

Halfords do some carbon fibre look ones for about £15 I think, should be able to get some cheaper than that. They look nice and subtle on dark cars. I've got some real carbon fibre surrounds but I couldn't tell you where they came from, got them as a xmas prezzy. :p

Maybe do what Serin suggested: colour-coding them to match the car? imo this would look very good.

watch out for those chrome ones. the paint comes off most of the ones i've seen

To be quite honest, i dont know why you'd want number plate surrounds of any kind, i dont believe they add anything to the looks of the car, in fact i think they do quite the opposite.

I also understand that modding is a very personal thing so if you think they look good who am i to argue!

I have to agree with activematt there, i think it looks better without the surrounding; i took it off just the other week and i think it looks much better (mind you mine had publicity from the dealers on it so it looked pretty :yuck: )
