i have been looking on for one of these grilles for a while now and i was wondering, its says

Front Grille
Replaces original grille. Comes with mesh and badge.
Comes unpainted.
Price: £135.00 + P&P

my stilo is black does this mean i would need to get the grille sprayed or not cos my car is black, would u only need 2 get it painted like if ur car was yellow or sumthing?

please help

Hi Emma.

The MS-design grill is ABS matt black plastic, just like your original grill (i think :D ) so should need no painting. It's just a straight forward swap over. I too am looking at this grill, but the problem i have with it is the badge recess. It has a flattened area on the right hand side where you have to put the MS-design badge. So you either have to use that badge or get something more suitable.

Here's a guide of how to fit it.
As you can see, there is some use of a file needed for step 6. I'm not too certain what this is yet so anyone who can shed some light onto this ?

looks like theres a lip inside the stilo bumper that needs filed down/off(?) to fit the grill

Yeah most likely, kinda scary really, especially if you want to put the original back on sometime :)

Stu, You may still be right mate ;)
I'm not an expert at these things :D I suppose it depends if you want a matt or gloss finish and also it depends what colour the mesh is going to be :confused:

so i wont need to get it sprayed then as my stilo is black already
i think i will keep the wee yellow badge on the new grill tht comes on it at the left side
am goin on holiday in 10 days so i will order it when i get back and hopefully get it fitted, yeh i will post up some pics of it and some off my stilo

It's exactly the same grill, just made by rieger and not MS-Design :)

Edit : Scrap that last comment... i just phoned that company and they are now all provided by MS-design and there has been a price increase. I'll let you know how much when the guy phones back...

Also... it WON'T need painting... for sure.

i think i prefer the grille on msdesignuk anyway as it has the wee yellow badge on it, is it 135 + p&p off msdegin

Yes you can still get it from them, but they will order it straight from MS-Design.
I got my rear splitter from that place and they are pretty good prices so i'm hoping the grill will be the same.
That little yellow badge is pretty naff BTW... It may look good on the front grill, but the one i had with my rear splitter was just pointless. I didn't see the point of putting a glorified sticker on it so i got the recess filled.
If the front grill badge is just as bad i'm gonna get something custom made.
 
Here's some pictures of the MS-Design grill on a black Stilo.
Personally i don't like it, i think it looks a bit cheap, especially for the money it costs. I think it's overly fussy.
I certainly won't be buying it now that i've seen it :(

thanks for posting that pic of the grille cos u have just saved me a lot of money it looks so ugly, thats exactly how it would have looked on my car cos mines is black aswell. definately not getting it now thanks lol
