Hi all,

is there a pictoral description on how to refit a head when the timing belt has snapped.

I have another head as there were 12 valves bent. A new gasket set and of course a timing belt.

It was all very easy to take off but I cannot see any timing marks. I may well be looking in the wrong place.

I have downloaded the stilo elearn files but I am absolutely lost trying to open or put them to disc.

All help will be greatfully appreciated,

Thanks

Thanks Richydraper, Yes I see they are very pricey. Can't the timing be set without the need for special tools. It's probably 25 years since I last worked on an engine and I know there is so much more to them today but the principles are still the same.
Can these special tools be hired if needed and how do I download and make the Stilo E Learn work.
Thanks again
Graham

how do I download and make the Stilo E Learn work.

  1. Download all 6 parts into the same folder.
  2. Point WinRar at part 01. This will combine all 6 parts into 1 file.
  3. Highlight that file and click the "Extract To" button in WinRar.
  4. Use the "Destination Path" shown or choose your own destination, then click OK. This will create a file named Stilo eLEARN.iso.
  5. Burn a CD from that file using Nero or whatever CD burning software you have.
  6. Instal the eLEARN interface from the CD using the setup.exe file. This will create an eLEARN icon on the desktop.
  7. Start the program from the desktop icon. (The CD must be in the drive whenever you use the program)

Regarding timing tools, if you live any where near Manchester, you can borrow mine as long as you promise to return them! :p

Hi again, I downloaded all files and followed the instructions. However, When trying to burn a CD in nero The process fails at all writing speeds saying illegal operation.

any further advice please,

Graham

I don't use Nero any more, so don't remember what you need to do to tell it to make a disc from a .iso (image) file. Try just double clicking on the 'Stilo eLEARN.iso' file. That may open Nero in the correct mode to burn the disc.

Alternatively, download imgburn from here: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download. Once installed, open imgburn, click "Write image file to disc", then where it says "Please select a file" navigate to, and select the Stilo eLEARN.iso file. Make sure you have a blank CD in the drive, then click the burn icon at the bottom of the top window.
