I've got an ELM327 interface which connects to the engine ecu fine on it's own, but I got the three (red, green, yellow) adaptors to connect to the abs, power steering, airbags and CAN network. I've learned that you need the vagcom or k-line interface for the airbags but I can't seem to connect to the dashboard or any of the CAN systems using the yellow (low speed can adaptor) adaptor. Is there something I'm missing? How do I connect to the CAN network using the ELM327 interface? I have a fellow forum member coming round at the weekend so that's what I need this for, if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it, otherwise I'll be buying a vagcom interface.

Cheers folks :)

i dont believe you need the yellow adaptor for the stilo CAN. i *THINK* it can all be done through the slower VAG-COM interface.

just checked MultiECUScan site and for stilos it only lists A1&A2 cables which is the green and red

Ah right I see, so I should be able to connect to the CAN with just the ELM?

You need Registerd version of software for full access to software.

I have a registered version (y)

where did you get the ELM327 from? some dont work http://forum.multiecuscan.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1493

I bought it off eBay back in Febuary, tried checking my purchase history but can't find it :bang:

Oh well I'm going to have to try this ELM in the other folks car and see if it works and if not we'll need to try again and I'll buy a vagcom interface
