after looking under the bonet yestursday i realised there was a fair bit of oil over the top of the gearbox, iv been told that theres a linkage seal that is porne to going on these 1.6 stilo gearboxes.
I brought the seal from fiat yesturday but know i have the small problem of fitting it...... has anyone does this before, or the actual location of this seal on the gearbox so i can find it. going to atempt it tomorrow afternoon

iv attached a picture of the seal iv brought

its the control housing input shaft seal. (6)

now the problem is that the input shaft is 1 piece so you would have to remove the control housing and strip it down.

so you would have to remove the shaft (1) and the dust boot (9) to get to the seal but as said you would have to take the housing off and remove the rollpin (11) and the e-clip (5)

if im honest ive not heard of that seal going before and ive been here in the stilo section for a year now... chances are its breathing heavily from (2) in the first image. its nothing to worry about if it is just clean it off and top your level up. also maybe make sure if it is leaking then its not originating from the mating surface between box and control housing its a slim chance but worth mentioning
