Hi lads,

I had a small accident some months ago (hit a high curb), and had some minor(severe?) bodywork damage as seen in the pictures:

I was wondering how this would be repaired?
I searched on EPER to check parts, and I came here:
http://eper.fiatforum.com/eper/navi...INT_MODE=0&EPER_CAT=SP&GUI_LANG=7&WINDOW_ID=1

So basicly, if I get it right, this whole piece needs replacing to fix it?
I don't need it fixed perfectly, but I just want the HUGE dent out of it.
You can see this dent around the Sergio Tacchini logo. I'm pretty sure if I could get behind it, I would be able to pop the most back, but I tried and it seems to be hollow ...

Any ideas on this? Any price range would be nice too (the door is less important)

your probo better off taking it to a body shop, they maybe able to bash it back into shape and smooth it off, i had my whole n/s replaced, body both doors, bonnet and most of the interiour on my at the time brand new stilo in 2003, the car was gone for nearly 3 months waiting for parts.
that sort of damage would actually write the car of if you went though the insurace.
body shop specialist are usually excellent if you can find a reputable one, and are a lot cheaper than replacing panels normally. get a quote it costs nothing

Replacing the whole panel would probably
cost more than the cars worth.

There does not seem to be any perforation
so try someone like Dent Devil, chips away,
or a small back street repair garage and ask
for a price.

Alternative is remove the inner trim pushout
the dent as much as possible add filler sand
prime and spray over. Not pretty but the cars
still usable and does not look too bad.

The panels tend to be pretty pricey to repair / replace. My last Stilo was written off due to damage extending on the same panels (more extensive but same principle).. for £2200. Not sure if there was any chassis damage but was a straightforward write off.

Also when mine was damaged the panel split in two from a sideways perspective, with a separate white panel underneath. Maybe that's why it appears hollow? Not sure.

they're 'framed' with a 'skin' the same as the door will be... any half decent bodyshop will make it like new

i've got ripples in mine but not too bothered by it. i got quoted £200 (mates rates) to repair my n/s wing and spray the front bumper, bonnet and blend the wings
