I realise there are umpteen threads on induction kits (I have searched)!

But theres nothing specific or recent relating to Abarth induction kits, so i'm just after some up to date info/opinions.

some of the older posts refer to how fitting a kit to their Abarth has resulted in the dash lighting up like a christmas tree, (which I personally couldn't tolerate).

so has anyone recently fitted a kit to their Abarth and how have they found it?

That's with concern to mucking around with the Mass Air-Flow sensor isn't it?
My car didnt have one in the Air Intake which is where I was told it would be... it's a 1.6 though not an Abarth

Yeah I'm guessing its the MAF that goes a bit loopy,
that "superturbopowercharger" is just great! It never ceases to amaze me what crap people try to sell on ebay.

Surely there must be someone out there whos fitted an in duction kit to their Abarth sometime in the last couple of years???!

The engine light issues were caused by the GSR induction kit, which is no longer available.

The only full induction kit available for the 2.4 is the K&N typhoon, looks like a nice piece of kit but i dont know of anyone who has bought one there expensive or what the power gains are.

The other options are a K&N 57i, dont waste your money proven to lose you power. Then there is the BMC CDA which states its an induction kit but it isnt a full kit, but does give proven power gains. Carnt remember how much though, and all the data about K&N 57i and BMC figures where loss.

I looked into the Typhoon and it does look like it would be the best option. You would be better off bunging the maff on it and then puting a breather filter on it aparently.

Ta for the replies, yes it was the typhoon that I fancied,
what exactly do you mean about bunging the MAF on it then having a breather filter? You've lost me a bit there!

I fitted a Novitec Max air and was very impressed with results fitted it my self in an Hour, cant get it here but got it sent from Germany think it was 179 euros well worth a look though. :)
