hi guys,
took the car out for a drive today to check for the judder as the previous fault p1653 was showing up but on spraying the connectors near the engine bay the fault dissapeared result!........ or so i thought so same problem (i think its getting worse really), p0300 random/multiple misfire detected
p0303 cylinder 3 missfire detected, p0304 cylinder 4 misfire detected all are pending?? any ideas?? i recently had the cambelt changed but before it was still juddering what else could it be ?

i really hope so is there any way i can check that they are on there way out as i have had them out and engine tone was different on each one

no safe way of doing a definitive test (voltage is too high to do it safely.. smoking..) but if you measure the resistance on the coils.. around 12 ohm is ok on mine (a brand new one was 12.5) anything below 10 is suspect (replace) anything above 14 is likewise; or just get a new coil.. you'll need it eventually.. and try swapping one at a time (this would work if only 1 coil is failing.. obviously if it is more than one.. this approach won't help much.. but yer.. it does sound like a coil (or coils.. as they like doing mass suicide) is giving up

where would i put the multitester to measure? would i take the connector off the coil and put them in there? will just buy the 2 new coils also thanks mate and hope for the best!

yes take the plug off and test at pin 1 and 2 (i think? this not my thing :ROFLMAO: engine off obv). going by your error codes (though this could be the result of one coil grounding to engine or just leaking/emf) you could need 3 (the funny thing is - try to replace the one that did not generate an error code first ;) you never know)
