Technical FiatEcuScan diagnostic software

Technical FiatEcuScan diagnostic software

Hi Yani,

Just tried this, it connects to the CFC-209 but does little else. When you do the actuator tests you cant actually hear the pump, and also when the EOL routine is performed, the computer seems as if its connected but nothing happening on the car side.

When they did this for me at the garage you can heat the actuators and the car running through the gears etc..

Ill have another go with it later and see how greggers gets on with it.

WARNING !!

just a quick warning- with this version it's possible to reset your phonic wheel self learned values - if you perform this action it will be nessesary to perform the phonic wheel learning procedure !
Your car will beep and blink to warn you this is needed to perform!
The procedure is like following:

start engine, wait until fan kicks in (engine temperature must be high to avoid damage)
rev the engine up to 6000 rpm (5000 is minimum but 6000 is better) and let engine restore idle speed
repeat another two times
key off
key on after 10 seconds - problem solved
if not solved - repeat procedure until blinking and beeping has stopped....

Thanks yellowstilo,
I will add this note in the next release.

Dont quite know where to put this but just been out to plug into the car and there is abot 25,000km's difference between what it says on the speedo to what it says in the diagnostic software. Speedo is reading less.

Any ideas as to why this should be and should i be worried.

I'm in the opposite situation.

My speedo says 71000km, the software reads 68000km.

I notice that 2 out of 4 engine starts, the speedo adds 2km

Looking at Jani's forum there does indeed seem to be a problem with the mileage but not entirely sure if it relates to our problems.
Im not too concerned really as i dont think anybody would have clocked my car for the sake of 15,000 miles do you???

Thats all the difference it is in mine. but wierd about your issue though.

i've just reset the fault codes on my stilo jtd's power steering ecu and recalibrated the steering using this software it worked perfectly excellent software and instructions for altering the cable yani many thanks.(y)

Which ECU did you connect to the CFC-209 or the Bosch ME731?

Go to both and check for errors.

Dan

Hi Dan,

When you say the Bosch ME731... how come I don't see this in the drop down list for the Stilo Selespeed? Do I need to find it from a different model? Will the Alfa 147 GTa do?

Cheers!

Yeah sorry forgot to mention that. I used the same profile and it seemed to connect okay. I just used it for reading/clearing DTC's but it may be when reading realtime parameters etc that the scalings are out.

Hmmm, I think there needs to be a dedicated one for the Abarth. As you say, the ME7.3.1 for the Alfa gives inaccurate readings for nearly all of the parameters when connected to the Abarth ME7.3.1 :(

On a happier note, I just ran the EOL on my Selespeed and it worked a treat giving me a handy little "Correct" as the result of the operation :D

I want to run the Clutch Bleed/Drain operation to test what happens but I'm too chicken to try it

I think Elearn tells us the steps needed in order to run that test. Its in troubleshooting

The software is still being developed and already does
far more than most software for sale at present.
When completed and if the price is reasonable
for an own user to buy it could be worth buying.

John

Whats the name you see?

Fiat Examiner updated my selespeed ECU firmware to a new version back in january. Maybe something changed and yanis software cant see it.

I'm really sad. I was counting on the software to see If my coils and plugs are working at its best as I think they are not.

\on mine it's called "Production/Service Final Calibration"

I've attached a pic of what I see for you (y)

i have made the service reset with the elm 1.3 and fiat ecu scan
also be aware! do not solder toghether the 1, 3, 7 and 9 pins. use a switch for pin 3.
the program works fine!
my car is a fiat stilo 1.9 JTD 2002

Tank you Yani!!!

also, after instaling the usb cable you might have a lock at the com instaled.. use the com that is asigned to the cable in device manager. i have it instaled on com 4.
if you have instaled the cable corectly you should connect to the engine at least if you haven't solder pins 1, 3, 7 and 9 becase 7 is k-line and it's the one needed for the engine...
check corect port com asigned to the cable!

You dont need to mod a cable for the service reset, you just need to use an ELM327 1.3 or higher.

The modded cable refers to the vagcom kline type cable for airbags/stering/abs and normal ecu's.
does this mean if i purchase an elm 327 1.3 or higher i can do the airbage etc?
