Still no joy with the heater/blower box, but may resolve that soon.

No am having problems with water puddles forming in the front passenger footwell. I do have a skyroof, but i've checked this and i don't think this is the problem this time, as none of the roof trim is wet. (have had this problem before and it was a blocked drainage hose directly above the wet patch!)

No water on the dash board, so i don't think its the window seals.

Any other suggestions?

Cheers

 Leaking heater matrix? Under-bonnet drainage?

Cheers, not sure about the heater matrix, its not an air con system, so unsure if you get the same problem with the manual heating as you do with the air con.

Could be the under bonnet will have to have a look and see where all the water should be going.

Will check the hose again, just to be sure, but as i have no wet roof, i doubt this is the problem =(

Doesnt matter. Your heater is heated by hot water from the engine cooling system directed into a radiator under the dashboard, it has hot water flowing through it. If it springs a leak or a hose gets damaged / loose the water / coolant will find its way into a footwell.

Above I say "coolant", if you use neat water there is more chance the heater matrix is najjered....

Thanks for explaining that - Next question how do i check the matrix for leaks?
Should i be looking to pull up the carpet? Also if it was the matrix wouldn't it be wet all the time, rather then when its raining?

 but you didnt mention that... Yes it would.

So, check under the bonnet, up by the windscreen where your wiper arms and mecahnism is, I am pretty sure there are 2 drain holes there that can get blocked with debris.

Sorry, should have said that at the begining. I'll have a look at the drain holes.
FYI any reader, i've dropped the lining to clear the hoses in the past and it can be done in about 5 - 10 mins per hose.

Will post a guide if i need to go through it again.

Cheers for the help though! will post an update once i've resolved it.

You'd need to remove the scuttle cover to check properly but if there's a swimming pool in the scuttle area then that's the problem :D

I gather windscreen leaks are fairly common :chin:

Is the scuttle area the hard plastic trim down the sides of the windshield.

I don't think its the screen for me, as i've had the windshield replaced, and its been sound. have a nagging feeling it maybe the roof afterall. Will venture into the car tonight...

have finally had enough of the stilo, and am slowly getting it ready to hand over to my bro.. swapping out for a 370z. well i hope to.

ALSO to throw another direction on this,
are you sure its not your aircon?, mine suffered airlock so the water wouldnt drain out, eventually it would over fill into the car - always starting off on the passinger side then eventually the drivers side (this is when i always noticed it).
what i did to over come this in the end was remove the driverside panel (centre consul) then when that is free you can see a rubber pipe connected to the bottom of the aircon unit, the pipe has a 90 degree angle on it. anyways remove that pipe and clear any fluid out. then insert a drinking straw into the actual unit, make sure you leave it hanging out the bottom so it will sit on the bottom of the rubber when reconnected.
now this may sound strange but this prevents the vacum that sometimes occurs and since ive done this simple fix ive had no more aircon probs with water filling the car up.

also if it is this fault then once completed make sure you get yourself an aircon bomb to kill all those nasty bugs that live in air con units.

Right resolved it last night. Blocked hose from the sky roof.
Missed it because for some reason the overflowing water was running right along the scuttle trim and not soaking the headlining as before.

Cheers for the pointers though.
