How much power have Fiat approved an stilo for ?
In Denmark, we must produce a document showing that the designer says that the car can withstand the increased horsepower if we up the power more than 20%.

An abarth have 170hp and an 1.9 16 mjet 150hk, but how much do fiat think that breaks and undercarriage can withstand and still be safe to drive.

I hope you know what i mean.

As FIAT would never officially condone anyone 'fiddling' with the spec of one of their cars, I doubt you will ever get anyone to agree that 'Yes you can safely tweak your engine to 230 bhp with no problems'. Why would they? If you were to end up in a ditch somewhere, guess who you'd want to blame?

Very valid point yella fella ;)..also fiat are starting to call into question mods that people are doing in this county as well..

how about novitec kit?
The breaks and springs is the same, and a there must be a paper telling that safety still is okay from fiat ? - that what i'm looking for.
I don't want fiat to say that they still will give me waranty.

Erm.. why would fiat give you anything? You are talking about a supercharger here? Definitely not! (besides engine will have to be completely remade to handle that kit.. unless you only intend to use your car on very low boost and for not more than 10000 miles.. after that it’ll probably go boom.. or even before.. if you don’t install an additional oil radiator)

Not talking about engine here, but the car itself.
Brakes, spring and dampers ect.
How much power is road safe in an stilo jtd by fiat means ?

NOT TALKING ABOUT IF ENGINE CAN TAKE IT OR HOW TO GET THE POWER, BUT ROAD SAFETY!

:chin:

I'm not talking engine, but car safety.

nice :D it will drive off leaving the car behind the moment you push on accelerator ;)

fiat will not bother approving anything – it is up to whomever sells aftermarket parts to certify them

Fiat as with most makes say "do not modify the car" or similar, if you choose to that is your risk, you are responsible, you have to ensure everything else is up to the job safely, at least that is how it is here in the UK.

Of course we "get it" what we dont get is why you need official guide lines on what you can and cant do.... What you do is up to you, if you screw up and hurt, maime or kill someone that is your responsibility NOT Fiats... OKIES? (y)

you still dosn't get it.

Is it so hard to understand ?
I don't think we do

In the UK, the biggest consideration would be very heavy insurance premiums and compliance with UK vehicle regulations. If you killed someone then you might try suing one of your modding suppliers but the chances are the buck sticks with you - hence my last post to you

In Germany Novitech conversions do not loose the warranty. The Fiat group accepts them.

And in the UK Mountune conversions are accepted by Ford.

So is the OP looking for a Novitech equivalent in Denmark Peter?

I read it as how does he get documented evidence for Danish authorities, to show any modifications he does are within expected performance and safety specifications laid down by Fiat.

I dont think that exists unless covered by your example?

If he read my sig he'd know it should be 'red fella'. The old bloke is going colour blind.;)

The Old bloke actually is blind..or to be more acurate partially sighted now..and was referring to your online user name and not the colour of your car or skin [if your oriental that is]..;) :worship: :p

And less of the bloomin old you I could probably jump over your head even though I have a degenerating spine and now walk like Quasimodo lol..:tempt:
