Hi, I was hoping someone could give me some tips on fixing head gasket for the Stilo. My father is a retired mechanic and will be attempting the job - but after 40 years in the business he is a bit fazed by Fiat engineering!
Are there special Fiat tools needed? are there torque settings and tightening sequence for head bolts? does anyone have a step-by-step guide?

It's a very involved job. Get an elearn manual or similar from ebay and have a good look through before you attempt it

As you really need to get the head skimmed and quite a lot of special tools I'd leave it to a good garage with the right contacts to do

I concur with you there Decks..there was another member who tackled this one a while back and in the end had to get it done in a garage..just had an elearn disc from a member on here for the panda and to be honest I find it very basic indeed and lacking loads of info..not complaining tho when I had it free from a panda massive member..Inc postage..

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll get a quote from a garage that has some experience doing this. cheers
