i had a bump not long ago and the car went in for repair. ever since i have had to keep topping up the coolant, but the reservoir doesnt completely empty it just goes down to the min and stays there. i went back to the accident repair centre and they say its not the radiator its the water pump, but i can feel moisture under the radiator (bottom left looking into the engine bay) is there a way to find out exactly where the coolant is leaking?

If it was the water pump the coolant would drain completely down to the level of the pump.

You shouldn't ever have a wet radiator so you are right.

Slow coolant leaks leave a white salt like mark where the water leaks and then dries out. It is easy to spot if you know what to look for. The radiator should never be wet unless you have been driving while it is raining. Was it hit in the front?

yeah front. it was repaired by a ford main accident repair centre. where should i go to get an unbiased opinion on where the water is leaking from. fiat will tell me i need new this and new that and a mortgage to pay for repair. there is a white stain where the water has been i think its the radiator but i need proof before i go back to ford.
