Jeez, Radar, you like to live on the edge, what with your tyres and all. Any more pictures of knackered stuff from your car you'd like to share. :D

How rude! I don't need to be invited as my grandfather is Polish and I am more than welcomed by plenty of people despite not speaking more than hello and goodbye in Polish.

Of course you know how good a driver I am and obviously you and the whole of Poland are better than me.

What I said was a joke and came from a number of conversations about the crazy driving experienced on Polish roads by my family (who have been numerous times to all areas of Poland and my sister who was there last week).

:D

lol that is weird!!! my pads went down to the metal 2day too. all i heard was a nice grinding noise........but luckily it didnt f*** up my discs

I overheated my break-disks from sudden slow down probably in Germany ( no speed limits on motorways :D ).

I reached speed 245km/h !! That's about 153 MPH, but the fuel consumption was f*** mad :(

I took this as offence, and not as good joke.

I thought, that you want to start third world war :D :D :D :D

But now is OK, forget about it ;)

And why would I in anyway attack my own family's country, the country my grandfather fought for in WW2 , owns land in and where I am visiting in a few weeks in anyway other than a joke!?!?

I just heard about a distant relation who drives in his Omega at 110mph on 40mph roads and it scares me! Plus Nuovapanda on he has just returned from Poland and his first comment was:

"I don't know where you get your safe driving from Paul, it's certainly not from your Polish side" lol - it's all in good spirit, promise :)

Anyway, I fly in on the 10th of Sept so make sure you keep the roads safe for me! LOL

It's possible that you will meet such idiot in Poland. And there is a standard, if is speed limit set for example, to 60km/h all drivers go 80 km/h. But it's free contry and can go as fast as you want, but if you will break the law ... you've got problem ;)

He's far from an idiot in other ways, a top computer programmer but obviously likes driving slightly stupidly! lol - he is my lift from Poznan airport :O

Last week I met on motorway a stranger in car from Germany ( but probably that was Poul ) he ocupated left part ( faster part ) of the road, and didn't retire for long, long time. When I used my horn ,he retired but this guy showed me middle finger !

I am a safe and selfless driver who sticks to the required lanes and I try my best not to do silly things to annoy other drivers - except sticking to speed limits which other drivers don't like so get annoyed when i always do....Also that selfless and safe bit goes out the window when somebody tries to ram me whilst on mobile phone lol.

I may be showing my ignorance here, but what is the wire sticking out of the brake pad? Sensor to show if they are worn out? I used to replace my own brake pads since it is easy and cheap to do, but this looks like it might be a bit harder. Are the pads expensive? Thanks.

It looks like a wear sensor to me, all it is usually is two metallic pins in the brake pad meterial. When it wears down to this point, under braking (the brake disc being a condunctor) means that a circuit is completed and the computer informed. On my grandpa's old Granada 2.5 TD it has it and when you purchased the pads you either asked with or without (without meant they cut the wires off lol).
