I dont know how people can hit your car then think **** it i'll just drive off and the the poor #@$%er with a bill to fix his car when all he done was pack.

Some little **** has hut the passenger side of my car and just drove off .

I took it to the garage and just a it priced to fix and the total came to £950. I know I could clame off my insurance but by the time I have paid my excess and got it fixed when it comes round to re-insure the car I will be payin more over the next 5 years than fixin it myself.

I've decided to fix it with some help from a friend all I need to do is supply the parts and paint leave it with him for 2 days and i'll get it back lookin like new.

Might look into gettin a bodykit fitted and it'll still come in cheaper.

Still think the #@%whole that hut it should be shot I dont work to fix someone elses mistakes.

his is the second car in a row it's happend to. My Subaru got it on new years day last year.

It really pisses me off last year it cost almost £750 to fix a wing, bumper and bonnet.

I feel for you mate, happened to me too...New Year 2007, not the best way to start the year. Couldn't afford to get it sorted myself, so got the insurance people in. However, they didn't do the greatest job and I'm probably going to have to get most of the passenger side re-sprayed.

Fortunately though (or unfortunately depending on your viewpoint), a few months after I got it fixed, a large parking dent occurred in the middle of the dodgy paint work, so gives me a reason to get it resprayed anyway. Bodywork is one of the tasks I'm getting done after the other modifications to hopefully bump up any asking price I'll try for. Hopefully, emphasis on

I can feel your pain mate, some numpty in the staff car park at manc airport shunted my driver side front corner and chuffed off leaving no details!
All I know is that it was a red car! A significantly lighter wallet later and shes all sorted. Dont suppose any caught a glimpse of what happened?

Should be castrated! Still, even if you know who did it, doesn't always help. I was hit from behind by an unlicensed, uninsured driver a few years back. I'm still out of pocket. He even owned up to my insurance company but defaulted on the repayments for the damage. I still lost the excess as they said it was a 'no claim' policy , not a 'no blame', nice! They couldn't recover the money as he has county court judgements!

Well this is the second hit for the Stilo since I bought her in August. Someone wasn't paying attention at a roundabout and ran into the back and it cost £1500 to fix.

The only good thing that came out of it was that his BMW was a right off :)

I also complaint to Fiat about a pain defect in the wing over 3 months ag and they still havent got back but i suppose thier is no point now i need a new wing.

So when can I get some goods bodykits from i have looked but i'm lookin for something different.

near the scene of the h and r was there any security cameras or anything?

might be able to have a look that way, any paint trace left behind etc?

sorry to here it, some fools bumped into my rear bumper and cracked the inner lip, and caused the bumper to hang about 5mm lower then usual :(

Thats harsh pal...

no-one has done it to me yet *touch wood* the only damage i have to my car at the moment is from where someone key scratched it all the way down the passenger side the night before i purchased it from a garage...

Got money knocked off though...

People should just own up to mistakes they have made... pisses me off!

Nade! ;)

Hey, how you doin' (y)

Sorry :Offtopic:

£950 sounds a lot just for damage to the door - a new door from here (http://www.nicedeals.co.uk) is only going to be £180, respray of door £250(ish) add couple of hours labour and that comes nowhere near £950! I'd take the car to a couple of independent body shops and get other quotes if I were you.
