Thing is though - the mobile version is supposed to be a stripped down version. It doesn't have any javascript support (well, of course it does, I mean it's all been removed) - so the thanks buttons wouldn't work.

I've never had to use the mobile skin on my iPhone.

I used the mobile skin before I got WiFi set up as the local mobile internet was just too slow to keep up with the full-fat version, was lucky to get 5k/s most of the time

What about an iPad I spend most of online life on an iPad

That said I do have an iPhone and use the mobile skin, save my data allowance.

It would be nice however if the mobile skin had the country of the poster as a few times I've tried to reply citing uk laws or regulations and found later that the poster was from a different country (occasionally planet)

If you let an iPhone add this function I don't doubt it would solve world hunger and fix my HGT gear linkage at the same time
Though it would probably correct every miss spelt word on the forum into something that didn't make any sense (example it just changed 'solve' above to say 'sold' stupid iStuff)

This site has a mobile version where there is a "thanks" button. Well its actually a link on the post that when pressed, reloads the page and awards the thanks to the post

I use a Nokia E5. Has a useless browser by today's standards, hence why I use it on mobile version
