I like this idea - but I seem to remember there was trouble implementing it before, can't remember why though.

Who would give the rating? The original author, or people would "vote" as they do it - and an average gets given?

I think a vote system would work best

Its just some jobs are nice and easy and some people will like that And they can easily look it up

Ok it looks really gash now, but the functionality is there.

Author of guide chooses a difficulty rating which is show up the top (and next to the guide in the forum listing).

Users can then submit their difficulty which will show under the "Table of Contents"

Wording is wrong at the moment and uses stars instead of spanners, but I'll sort that when I get home - I'm off on a date now

Don't forget the lady boy check .

It's a lot more hardcoded in that I thought (the design) - so for now, I'll get the author rating bit done with some proper spanners, then think about a nice looking way to do the user one

Done. Cleaned things up a bit too and moved the tools into the header bar so looks less cluttered.

If a guide doesn't have a contents page, then it's now full screen.

Forum listing can be sorted by "Difficulty Level" (use the filter bit at the bottom) - although of course nothing yet has a level.

Well that was EVIL... EVIL EVIL EVIL.

Been going through that code all day, it's a real pain there is no runtime debugger for PHP.

Anyway, it's all done and working - with full AJAX for ratings.

The author picks the "Official" rating - then users can also submit their rating (which will be averaged out and shown with smaller spanners below the author's one)
