for Armistice day

Armistice Day is on 11 November.

A two minute silence is observed at 11am on 11th day of the 11th month because this is when the Great War, or World War 1, came to end in 1918.

But now, this anniversary is used to remember all the people who've died in wars since World War 1.

This includes World War 2, the Falklands War, the Gulf War, and conflicts in Bosnia, Rwanda and Kosovo.

Just a pity too many alive today have no sense of respect or morals!

People who did that need catching and publically crusified. Preferably hung, drawn and quatered using a rusty breadknife!.

There is no Poppy emblem on the forum, it would be good if there could be an emblem on forum in the days leading upto and including 11th November each year. We have christmas decorations all over the place on here, I think remembrance day is more important.

Yep, would have been good. Next year maybe.

religious beliefs matter in ww1! i think not
we had Indians British Americans and Russians and some others. its a day to think about the people fighting for country and so

only people what may be offended might be the loosers

Harry Patch 110, Henry Allingham 112, and Bill Stone 108 the last 3 service men that served in WW1, these guys are real heroes. I think having a poppy themed forum is a fantastic idea, and yeh it is way more important than Christmas. Did anyone watch the ceremony? The eldest Henry, wanting to stand to place the wreath but couldn't, what encouragement. I think it should be covered in history as compulsery lessons.

yes but if all them people never died for it the freedom wouldnt excist, so they(the people who feel offended or what ever) wouldnt be here so if they dont like it i say they should gtfo :) there is no reason anyone of any religion in the country cant stop for 2mins
but no religions said they did, its just people like mikeee spreading hatred making stuff up
