I am about to buy my first car but i am obssessed with security. I wan it to be safe and i want to improve on what is already in there. I have a central locking alarm and also a separate fitted immobilser. what else can I do to stop it being kicked. I am not going to add anything like a cd player incase it gets knicked. but i do not want the car being stolen. i am thinking of a stterrikng lock and a gear lock or is that a bit too much

if your really worried get a thatcham cat1 alarm and combine it with a quality steering lock.you can fit a whel clamp but its a hastle or you can get a steering boss that allows you to remove the steering wheel at night.what car is it,and how much is it worth? this dictates how much you should spend.you could get the windows tinted to stop the toerags seeing in the car

Auto Taser is the way to go. 50000 volts up the arse of anyone stupid enough to touch your car!

Pete, youre a man of impeccable taste. I designed the 4TRESS. It's made out in Taiwan and imported by Sakura Autoparts. What colour have you got? Look out for the new Thatcham Cat 3 Approved PROFESSIONAL version out soon.
I have been told that any car fitted with a device will also deter anyone just breaking in to see what's in a glovebox.

Hope youre pleased with it. I use mine (silver)all the time and have to say that it is very easy to use. No threading great big grey bars through steering wheels.

I've got a 4tress bar on my black cinq - feels solid enough. What I always think about these things is if you've got one fitted and the car next to you hasn't, hopefully they'll have a go at the other one instead.

Pete.

Now that DOES look the business, I like the design, and it comes in Silver which would match Julio. What more could a man want? (Apart, obviously, from the opportunity of being surrounded by young unmarried women on a private yacht in the Caribbean)

I can see a purchase on the horizon.

Glad you like the product. Silver does seem to be the most popular colour. The new Thatcham Cat 3 version out very soon is available in a great Metallic Yellow.
