my mk2 punto is unlocking itself, i have a guilty conscience imay have affected some wiring in the drivers door which could have caused it. please can somone point me in the right direction? wiring diagrams etc, or even a way to convert it away from central locking . just so i can lock it safely

Shut your doors properly, it sounds silly.. but i thought i had the same problem, until i realised my passenger door wasnt closed properly :/

It is also possible you need to lubricate the lock system inside the door.

Check the Flexi Joint on the door - see if any wires are Shorting on each other?

Check the Multiplug is nice and clean too

And take your key out of your pocket. sounds daft but I noticed my car lighting up as I put my trousers on one morning - must have just caught the button on the key by accident.
As above re the doors, sometimes a door isn't quite fully shut.
Always make sure you lock the doors whilst you are close enough to hear the actuators, make sure you hear just the one note as the locks engage & get into the habit of flipping the handle to make sure it's locked.
