Hi there - does anyone know exactly what pressure the cooling system should hold before the filler cap releases it on 2.0Lt JTD Scudo?
I have a hiss and coolant escaping when engine at temperature - I'm trying to eliminate all options before paying for HG change...
Garage tested my system and it's at 28psi which seems high - they also say the flow through the radiator isn't as good as it should be.
All usual HG tests have been done - gas test of coolant, oil in water/vice versa, heaters staying hot etc
My suspicion is a minute hairline crack in head or HG which is just enough to build too much pressure and the rad cap is doing it's job by letting it escape....any other theories welcomed!
