hi i am about to change the engine on the fiat scudo el 2.0 ltr jtd model could anyone advise me on how the engine comes out example can i take the raditor off and bring engine foward and out also must i take drive shafts out or can i just leave gearbox in motor

hi been offerd a scudo el 2.0 ltr engine on only 60,000 miles for 600 but engine is bear i intend to use all parts from my other scudo engine but as the head gasgets gone will i be able to get injectors out ?

just done one on a 1.9 scudo left driveshafts in and gearbox pulled out front

injectors will still come out

Is it poss to take engine out without lifting car in the air ? Example can I take front end light bumper etc radiator off then swing engine out ?

Will the engine parts be easy to swap around etc turbo and fuel pump look quite difficult ?

dont have to lift car all the front end is bolted on remove bumper lights and other panels put jack under gearbox and pull engine out front we unbolted power steering pump and left that on van saves on fluid

Hi I have been looking under bonet there looks to be a lot of pipes and wires also does the turbo just unbolt ? And I did notice some valve like tap things on top of the gearbox umm wonder what they are Well new engine will arrive soon so I guess I'll just start take ing front end off so I can see more. First time so any advice would be a more than welcome

most of wires r different size push fits so cant really go wrong with them once u take front end off u will be able to c whats what

Made a start with scudo as engine on route seems very user friendly as
Front lights come out as bumper and front pannels seem to come off ok I am wondering if I have to put front of car up on axle stands as when time arrives to take drive shafts out of gearbox will I need wheels off ?

u can leave drive shafts in

Wow can realy see what's what now with radiator and all front end off can walk in it almost ha ha lots of pipes and wires everywhere so logged them must admit thoe I think exsaust could be tricky as write at the back and can't even see where to split it ? It's fun thoe

take it off from manifold get under van 2 10mm nuts to loosen

Scudo going ok got all wires out the way. Now wonder how drive shafts come off gear box and how to disconnect clutch ?

Ok cool so do I take wheels off then what ? Where do I disconnect drive shafts as going to pull engine and gearbox out as 1 lump

leave gearbox in as well take all bolts out an engine will pull out

Can I put the new cambelt on with the gearbox off ? Or must they be timed together ? Also how much clearance will I have enoughf to pull engine out wilst gearbox still in can I move gearbox about a little or must it stay bracketed ?

engine will come out u will have plenty room with box left in put new belt on before fitting engine also i would chande water pump as well

Ok great new engine has arrived but looks to me like the hdi citreon peugoet type is hdi type diffrent from jtd ?
