Anyone know how to set the cam timing for a 16v 2.0 jtd. My cambelt broke which in turn broke 10 rockers. I haven't had the head off thinking that the valves are OK ( they went up and down when I pushed them when the cams were off). I now need to know how many links there are between the marks on the sprockets. Someone gave me a diagram of a peugeot 2.2 HDI said it was the same that had 7 links however that's not right, it did start but sounded horrible. Pistons didn't hit the valves as I'd turned it over loads by hand to check. Anyone know anything? Are the valves likely to be bent? I was told that the rockers are designed as the weak link in the event of a broken belt.

03 plate and the mileage on the clock is 160,000 but it's a replacement so not sure of the exact mileage.
