Hi,
recently bought a 2009 Qubo diesel and I love it!
I desperately need to upgrade the stereo so I can listen to my music on my iPhone 6. Bluetooth is how I do it on my other cars but I have noticed lots of head units have usb ports.
On other cars my Garmin Sat Nav uses bluetooth to give voice directions whilst I am listening to music and the iPhone also interrupts via bluetooth for phone calls but the guy in Halfords said that the head units they sell couldn't do that which I find hard to believe, is he right? I think the phone gets passed through the Garmin then the car but not sure.
What head units are popular? I might go for the 2 din Pioneer Car Play unit (the cheapest one 300 quid) or go for the simple single din bluetooth unit in 75 quid price range.
halfords guy says they have a 50 quid harness that handles steering wheel and speaker and FM antenna connections
I'm not going to spend loads of money, just get my bluetooth and slightly nicer speakers if need be. I feel like current system is like listening to 80's boombox in an oil barrel.
something more natural and balanced and less tin can sounding and harsh would be nice, is this possible?
thanks in advance!
did I mention I love the Qubo?
has anyone installed an Android Touchscreen head unit? How do you like it?
on a sadder note, it looks like the heater fan isn't working as I can only get air blowing if I am driving highway speeds. I couldn't find a Haynes repair manual for the Qubo, any suggestions?
