Managed to break two so far taking them out, even using a small bit of plastic to push the clip back! This is my fix and works well, Clean off all the surfaces well with thinners, roughen the inner surfaces of the clip that face each other, superglue the broken piece back, when dry get masking tape and cover one side, fill the gap with silicone (thats why you need to roughen the inner surfaces to give the silicon adhesion) When dry its a good solid repair. I also used a junior hacksaw to cut a small gap to allow the clip to move a fraction, There was very little gap there to allow the clip to move.
