I need to redo the video, or new photo's just not getting a good pic of screen,:bang:

May use screen print, which would be better!

The software on mine shows three com ports available, 1, 3 and 6, I select com 6 port in software then connect this seems to be the only port that works.

Soon, I am looking at a program called articulate, which produces online learning packages, so what was a quick job is taken longer but will have sequence steps photos and videos to help and learn about IAW program.
 
Hi pink i have managed to conquer the problem with my car now it turned out to be the mass flow sensor I bought from euro car parts it was duff I put the original one back on and it was fine after weeks of trying to diagnose it.
It was due it's not and failed big time in emissions but I changed the mass sensor at the mot station after first test failed and it passed perfectly and the injector light has now stayed off what a relief I would still like to have a look at your vids and info on diagnostics ?
 
Hi pink again I spoke to soon injector light back on again grrrrgh will have to look at it again

home it works, but i'm linked to virgin, need someone else to confirm it's ok.

had to remove video's and replace with pictures, next version will have the video's back in.

works for me.. not sure if i can or should be hosted on the forum, seems it should be posted in the guides section. It could easily be transcribed into a normal guide format and posted in the guides, seems most suitable plan to me really as thats where it should go really. If you wrote one up i can make it show in the cento guides too as its applicable to the spi cento's too.
Not that your work isn't lovely.
 
Hi pink thanks for all the hard work you put into making this guide ? but I still can't get vagcom to read ecu ? I've checked connections all good I also know the ecu doesn't need a chipped key or coded key just a normal standard key to start up would that be the problem because ecu has been flashed
 
Also could it be the little white chip inside ecu would that cause my injector light to come on is that part if the injection system on ecu ?
 
that sounds about right, if the chip has been changed or flashed then the system can not be used to interrogate the ECU, may be worth getting a secondhand ECU inc it's set(s) of keys/barrel's and change the lot.

NOTE
An ECU is worthless without the code box and key.

however not sure how easy that would be and if affordable!

you can get ecu's virginised now so they code themselves the the first key thats used on them.. Not ever looked into having it done but pretty sure 2nd hand ecu, send it off to be virginised won't add up to much money. Or even have a look on ebay for an already virginised ecu. Might cost more possibly but much less hassle than changing all the locks and codebox as well
 
I spoke to someone from fiat ecu scan iaw and they said my car only reads airbag and power steering only and not ecu diagnostics and it won't work with iaw 2 it has to be earthed or something to body any ideas to show fault
 
That doesn't work tried it so how am I supposed to figure this one out lol
