Technical posh petrol killed my car :(

just been looking at my car,

i took the spark plugs out and tested them for sparks, and my sister said that spark plug 3 just glowed slightly and when i swapped the coil pack from number 4 to number 3 it then sparked like it should have done.

When i was testing numbers 3 + 4 the car just turned over but when i was testing 1+2 the car started and then cut out..
Could i have all faulty coil packs or just on numebr 3 ?

If i havent confused you haha

got the coil packs and its running little better.
It feels and sounds like its back firing though so im thinking that the timing is out.
gonna ring the garage tomorrow and get them to re-time as they havent done in the first place -.- or they have and its slipped a tooth.

had a recovery truck to come and pick the car up and they managed to make the car bounce off the back of the truck and down the road.... wasnt happy about that :bang:

garage looked at my car, done a compression test checked the fuel, and checked the timing and they said it was spot on.
They said they are going to send it to this ECU guy and hes going to look at it for me now.....

Car having a whale of a time going to al these garages and wont fix it self lol

Have you mentioned to them the main running issues occured immediately after you filled with a fresh tank of fuel?

I still wonder if it's worth draining the tank and refilling with some fresh fuel.

Yes told him that.. and i put some new petrol in before and it was running slightly better...
I think after this guy has looked at it it will all go hunky dory :)

just had a phone call from the garage its at and he said that the petrol pump is knackered pissing petrol out everywhere and looking pressure.

he has ordered me a new one £130  :bang:

Dont mind paying though aslong as my baby is sorted :)

Sure he didn't break it getting it out of the tank? It's rare for them to spontaneously break-up internally.

I'd ask to have the old unit out of curiousity to see what failed.

Well it always seemed as there was a fuel issue, and if it fixes the problem im not bothered lol

You fill up with fuel and the pump just decides to crap itself at the same time?

For £130, I'd want to make sure he's not covering his own mistake, and it wasn't just dodgy fuel to begin with. ;)

Yer.... it was never right before the posh fuel was put in, it just made it worse.
I had a bad hesitation at high revs and it never got to speeds...
But hopefully after £700 of garage bills it will be fine :)

well good news is that with the new petrol pump fitted the car is running ok :)
He said there is only one problem were the car wont start up first time and he said its because its had a power chip installed and they have hacked into the crank sensor with it and its interfering...
Im hoping tomorrow i will have my baby back :)

well finally some good news (y)

Got my car back from the garage today and it is driving like a dream :)
Cost me about £1000 in engine repairs but it was worth the money spent :)
no more hesitations put me foot down there is power and hell of a lot of it :)

i love my car woop woop
