Just spotted a silly error on my advert. Its says MOT date = July 2010.
It should be July 2012. The MOT is live and kicking.
I've put a note on the listing hope folks see it as cant change the details

Airbag fault fixed and errors cleared. Error did not return.

It was the usual glove-box/seats issue. I believe it was the seat connections, because the cables were not clipped properly to the seat frame and the connector could get pulled with seat in full forward position.Glove box connector was clean but it was cleaned and put back taking care that sensor wires would not rub on bodywork.

Look under the seat you will see a yellow cable and connector block. Its fiddly to undo, but look closely, be careful and you will see how to separate it. Use electronics contact cleaner. Do the same on the other seat and the connector above the glove box.

Slide the seats fully forward and carefully clip the cables to the seat frame so the connector isnt pulled when slid full forward or full back.

Under the glovebox make sure the wires cant rub on metal.

Ideally you need FiatECUScan (paid for version) and suitable cabel(s) to make sure the errors are gone. They will come back if you have not solved the problem.

Okay will have ago when i get chance. Is the glovebox connector - one that connects to the passenger airbag?

I have the full version of FES as i scanned it before and it said passenger switch fault which i took it out gave it a blow and shake and put it back in. The lights have gone off but i can see the red airbag light flash everynow and again but it like flashes for half a second

You need the battery to read fault codes, but don't forget disconnect battery 30 mins before touching airbags.

A flashing airbag light means there is a fault clearing itself so the light goes out. All fine until you have a crash and the vibration disconnects it just when you need it.

Mine showed a side airbag fault which meant the seats and/or the connector above the top right of the glove box. All were disconnected and sprayed with contact cleaner. As I said also the seat cables were carefully tied to avoid them pulling when the seats are moved.

The signal currents are small so insulation touching hard on metal bodywork can also cause a fault. Make sure the actual wires cant rub where they are exposed near the connectors.
