Hey i have just been rummaging around my 98 punto elx 85 and have discovered a wire that doesnt seem to be connected to anything?? can anyone help please?

Can anyone help me with identifying what this wire is?

I could be wrong, but it might be the diognostic plug.

ahh... that could be it, i never really thought of that thanks man

I had a 1999 model and the diagnostic plug was right near the ECU and it didn't look quite like that though it was 3-pin (and it didn't have yellow insulation).

Yellow insulated wiring is usualy only used for airbag related items.

Perhaps your car only has a driver's airbag and this is the wiring for an optional passenger's airbag.

If there's a part number on the label, I may be able to confirm this.

there are numbers and part codes but they are in italian, which ones do you want?

Numbers are the same in Italian as they are in English.
