i am getting an intermittant handbrake light on,i checked the handbrake switch and fluid levels and all is o.k
if i disconnect the fluid resevoir switch/sensor then all is fine and the handbrake light comes on/off correctly
does this mean the resevoir switch(float i guess) is sticking or faulty or would a problem with brake pads also show this sort of intermittant light

IIRC there is a filter in the fluid resevoirs that needs to be taken out when its filled. I filled mine with it left in and had the intermittant light problem, I just took the gauze out and loads of air came out, topped it back up and its been fine ever since. The fluid level looked right when I had my problem so don't always trust it.

i did remove the filter to check and the level seemed ok,i will put some more fluid in tomorrow to see if that helps
