I have a 55sx 1994, 1108cc engine. I rather stupidly didn't get the cam belt changed when it was due, so it failed and a very nice man from the AA towed me to the garage.

So my question is: is it a safe engine, or have I done some damage?

I had just pulled off so I wasn't going very fast.

(I searched the forums, but I couldn't find the exact answer.)

hi there from what i have read on other posts about this engine your car will be fine, its a safe engine and will just need a new belt and a belt tensioner and thats it. no damage will have been caused. i am sure someone else will confirm this later aswell.
