Im not sure is this is a Common problem, but basicly when I put my Punto into gear (any gear) I can easily move the gear stick 1/2 inch or so left + right.

The gear change is very smooth, the only problem is when going into second for example the gear stick rubs on the seat, anyone else had this problem?

Its just had BRAND new cables fitted.

Take it back to whoever changed them if its not right.
