hi i have a punto mia mk2 2001 1.2 8v its an insurance total lose that i am putting back on the road i have fitted new battery to get it started so i can move it around (not push it) and it started fine but just won't pickup(rev up) so it won't move it has a timing belt cover broke but the timing belt is in one piece and like i said it starts as anyone got any ideas please many thanks
 
its been layed around for approx 6-7 months i am just about to start repairs if i can drive it thanks
 
no it does nothing you can put your foot to the floor and it stays the same
 
thanks for prompt reply do you mean throttle linkage on throttle body no i havent tried this but wouldnt cable feel seized or pedal drop to the floor if cable etc was broken throttle pedal feels ok just not revving engine
 
sorry got it wrong yes it does rev up but it is very missy and very sluggish its flat as a fart you can put your foot to the floor and it takes for ever to rev up there is no life in it only done 40000 miles any more ideas thanks
