I've had a mk2 punto for a year and a bit and i got about 400miles to a tank. which cost about 50euro to fill.

Now i got a punto GT and the thing drinks petrol like there no tomorrow.. i put 50 euro in and got about 200miles.. which sucks cuz i'm broke.. :bang:

Is there anyone else gettin the same or do i need to give it a good service?

Thats about normal im afraid matey. Maybe a bit low, you should get about 250miles a tank with average driving. Give it a good service and use good spark plugs etc should help but if your broke get a more economical car . Also check brakes (disks, and pads) and make sure there not binding in anyway while driving.

i guess it's a good thing that i live so close to work..

I was thinkin it could have some thin to do with smelling petrol coming form the exhaust.. i left the car running for a few minutes and could smell petrol out the back and found a few droplets on the ground beside, would a service cure it?
