just bought a kit of ebay but no insturtions with it, i emailed them but no reply! can someone help please. and is it possable to fit power steering on my punto because it has got any and would like to know i can fit it. thanks xx:) :) :)

DO you have the ebay link of the central locking you bought? It might be possible to fit a power steering pump but i think you would be better of just selling the car and getting one that already has it.

Whats the link to the one off ebay?

I bought this one and it was the easiest thing in the world to fit

One of the best things ive done for the punto to be honest, it looks miles better than before now, what with flashing lights, keyless entry and remote locking/unlocking

I got a fiat unit from ebay to change my central locking to remote ( MK2 )

Took about an hour and came with 2 remote fobs that were fiat colour and said fiat on them, cost me 55 pounds.

Steve

yeah i know you can those Fiat Meta ones on ebay that just comes with the remotes and relay but they cost 50 quid though..but the one cyberdog mentioned is fraction of the price but comes with a bunch of wires so was wondering if you need to cut some existing connections

The one i got want just a relay, those ones are for the mk1.

his may have been a fraction of the cost but mine is a proper fiat part (y)

buy a proper cat 2 alarm or better, then it'll not only 'protect' your car (does anyone take any notice of car alarms nowadays?) and it'll do all sorts of flashing and bleeping you want!!
and it will save you a few quid on insurance if you live in a bad area etc

I had a similar one for a old ford fiesta, possibly even bought from the same ebay seller... If its just the "remote" you are adding, and the car already has C/L then it should be a simple plug and play... althouh it would depend on what the punto C/L module is like... its not going to be complicated to fit though, even if you have to swap a few wires over....

those keys wont start the car as the punto has coded keys unless you get the chip out of the keys you have and put them in the reote keys pluss you whould have to get them cut

pluss why whould you want more keys if your buying (remote) locking?
