I have a mk2, bought it off my ma so its a good blank canvas, Ice done, interior doing, alloys in santas sack:D

However, I am wondering what could be done under the bonnett to make it a bit more respectable. Budget almost nil after alloys bought B) so mods will have to be minor.

Relative newbie so what do you suggest? Induction kit, exhaust pipe, exhaust system, filter? Please post any suggestions on what u know or may have done which made the best impact. I may only be able to choose one. Budget of about a ton.

Did you have the fish? No...I ate it.

Induction kit is a nice starting project, or try an Ecotek.
Get the scrubbing brush out, give the engine a clean, then fork out £6 for a tin of engine lacquer.
Try some heatshrink on your pipes and looms. Should get quite a bit done for a tenner. http://www.twinternational.com/acatalog/Main_Catalogue_Click_here_to_purchase_Heatshrink_Kits_611.html

If you are feeling really adventurous... Take the soundproofing off the bonnet and spray it chrome (inside I mean;))...or fit some mirror film. That really shows off your engine.

By the way, before I get flamed, I would never dream of doing that, but it's personal choice week.:D

85% of Marea HLX drivers have speeding tickets.... lol they'll have to catch me first.

£15 to £20 quid will get you some NGK spark plugs, good choice. punto's and induction kits are a funny thing, its like you have to change from original air box to ind kit whenever the weather changes. i've tried K&N, Pipercross and JR, with Pipercross coming out tops, next to try is just a replacement filter for the standard air box which i think is going to be the best option. how bout a powerboost valve for £99 an if your thinking exhaust stay well clear from Janspeed, (don't work well with punto's and have very quiet sound). i recomend Ashley, Magnex, Scorpion or Supersprint.[}:)]

Punto's Are The Way Forward!
