Hey guys,

I was about to drive this morning. When I started the engine, the car did not start on the first attempt, only on the second. And I noticed that the clock and mileage were reseted, just like if the battery was disconnected. When I get back, I found this on the ground where the car was parked. Now I am wondering what the hell is this and if it's related to the problem.

Yes.. its the cap on the coolant bottle.

Or at least it was

Look here for location:

Thankfully its a VERY common part.. so easy to find another..

But thats broken!!

I do wonder if the engine has a problem

Check the oil and coolant levels !!

Weirdly its not simple to find a photo of the cap in place..

Its high up under the cars bonnet

With bonnet open..looking at engine:

Either by your left knee

Or on the same side.. but further back

A similar layout: Blue cap ;)
