Hello, I've owned a Fiat Punto MK2/b for 5 years now. It has always been a great little car and there's just something about it that I love. So far I've not done much. I've replaced the steel wheels with AEZ Xylo's and that's transformed the car. However, one issue that started about 2 months ago is an airbag light displaying on the dash. Honestly, I really want to get it fixed as it does make driving the car slightly discouraging and knowing that the passenger or possibly my airbag won't deploy is kinda scary. I've done some research and found that I need some cable. I live in London and cannot find any on eBay etc. Could someone recommend me a place to buy one as i need to get this issue sorted before it's MOT on the 21st November. I've used MultiECUscan to diagnose the problem and here's what I got. Also, anyone else gets a problem where the car's engine speed increases to 2000 when using multiecuscan????:cry:

Common problem with the Punto you could try putting your key in the switch and moving it back and forward a bunch of times some people have had success like that

Alternatively there is a modified wiring loom section for the switch

Do you know where I can get that repair/grounding wire from because honestly, I've done everything, The last thing I want to do is walk into a dealership.

I've just had a look can't find the part number but it doesn't look like it is in stock anywhere so you may have to go to a fiat dealer for the part

That being said I think it was a fairly simple modification just basically ana extended earth point to move it away from other equipment so you may be able to DIY something to do the job?
Perhaps someone who fitted one will be able to tell you better

I was thinking about making a DIY one but I don't really want to play about with the airbag system. It is only ground but i'd only do it to get the car through the MOT and remove it straight after. The car's due for an MOT on the 21st Nov so I have to be quick.
