Hi,
Rather than using a phone, get a laptop and download MultiECUscan, www.multiecuscan.net
This should work with a bluetooth ELM 327 (if laptop has bluetooth). Make sure you can connect to the engine etc and then pay the registration fee so you can connect to the power steering module. This will give information on the fault(s).
Most 'phone software is not powerful enough of Fiat specific.

Worked for me.
I could read the free engine module but it would not read the power steering or airbag.
