Hi, im looking to remove my Mk2 sporting seat covers to was ans in the future to replace with different material, ive looked at the guides section but only shows for punto without the side airbag. has anyone dealt with the side airbag before and if so how can remove covers & airbig

A proper trimmer will know how to deal with em

I would have thoughy the usual
30mins battery off before disconnectig would be sufficient tbh
If you got zips - u should be able to whip em up and find securing fixings - remove and remove airbag and wiring

Tbh not many had seat airbags only top models did lile hgt and upsoecced sportings

Use a paper clip hooked throu the zip fastner to move the zip.The head rest will only come out by undoing the plastic prongs from inside the seat cover once cover is pulled up,as are the head rest holder tubes. Two reusable white strings hold the cloth to the seat,held in to metal frame with black plastic blobs which need to be un clipped so you can use them again.

its the airbag that i need help with the seat cover is somehow attached to the airbag casing, the rest i can follow from the post in the guides section

Its ok now ive found the problem,

The airbag needs unclipping and undone with a 10mm spanner as the cover is stapled behind the airbag to the seat frame

make sure seat bags replaced securely once covers replaced
do not skimp on this
